Yadi’s chapter in OtherWise Christian 2 is their take on the (John 5) story of the sick man by the pool at Bethsaida. It was originally a sermon for the First United Church of Christ, Second Life, and points us all toward essential aspects of our own healing journey.

Yadi’s chapter, “Courage to Heal,” will appear in OtherWise Christian 2: Stories of Resistance (March 2020) from OtherWise Engaged Publishing.

Yadi Martínez-Reyna is an intern at First United Church of Christ, Second Life as well as youth pastor at New Church, UCC in (Texas). They are pursuing an MDiv from Brite Divinity School.
