OtherWise Christian: A Guidebook for Transgender Liberation (2019) by Mx. Chris Paige is
- a love letter to transgender communities,
- a self defense manual against Bible abuse and Christian trans-antagonism, and
- the beginning of a historical record of how far we have come.
Considered by some to be “the definitive compilation, analysis, and commentary on trans-liberating theology,” that foundational work is extended in a variety of ways on the OtherWise Christian blog and the OtherWise Christian podcast (where you can also leave your own voicemail to become a part of the conversation!).
OtherWise Christian (aka OC1) is also the book that launched a movement, including several books from OtherWise Engaged Publishing.
