Z’s article is one that we developed in conversation–literally. We had a conversation (and then a follow up) where Z talked and I recorded. The result is a candid look at what it means to be an indigenous, Marine veteran, who is queer and trans in Western Christianity.

Z Shane Zaldivar is a Social Justice Warrior with 20+ years of experience advocating for marginalized community’s. He uses his identity as a Veteran, Indigenous, Queer, Trans Man of Color to support all people. His calling has been to support those experiencing homelessness and his specialty is suicide prevention and crisis management.  When Z isn’t advocating for the needs of others you can find him on the Duck River connecting with Spirit/Ancestor or co-creating memories with his family and pack.
