OC2: Ms Diamond Stylz

The people in the community who everyone said were going to lead me to hell were actually the only ones who gave me a lifeline to survive. I needed more than a fable or a metaphor.

OtherWise Christian 2 v. 3

Diamond’s chapter in OtherWise Christian 2 is a powerful parable about how churchy folk often miss the mark in terms of meeting the needs of OtherWise communities. Diamond tells her story about how sex workers and others the church looks down on helped her in her time of need.

Diamond’s chapter, “Womanist,” will appear in OtherWise Christian 2: Stories of Resistance (March 2020) from OtherWise Engaged Publishing.
