Austen Hartke is a transgender Christian who wrote the book, Transforming: The Bible and the Lives of Transgender Christians (2018). But Hartke is actually a prolific member of the YouTube generation. Before the book, Austen made a name for himself with his “Transgender and Christian” series of videos on YouTube:
In addition to solo videos, Hartke sits with awesome folk like Lawrence Tanner and Allyson Robinson. That series ran to 100 episodes.
For his next thing, Hartke started a Journey through Scripture…
That turned into a live Bible Study series.
That’s not even everything! Austen has also worked with Gender Spectrum on a multi-faith series, called “Interviews with Faith Leaders.”
There’s still more…
- Austen Hartke articles at Sojourners.
- Austen Hartke articles at Queer Grace.
- Austen Hartke also blogs at his own website.
If you’re into watching videos like this, you should also Google him, because you’ll find recorded presentations, podcasts, and other material floating around.
Find more about Austen Hartke at his website.
