Vanessa Sheridan’s Crossing Over: Liberating the Transgendered Christian was released only a few months after Virginia Mollenkott’s Omnigender in October 2001.

This was Vanessa’s third book after The Cross and the Crossdresser and Cross Purposes, but her first with a mainstream press (Pilgrim Press). Crossing Over was nominated for a 2002 Lambda Literary Award in both Spirituality and Transgender/Bisexual categories.
